Email Anatomy – Part 1

  • Theory
“Your email should have a foreplay of sorts before you pitch anything.”
- Igor Kheifets

Every email is made up of 7 body parts or components. These components are like admirable costumes that beautify your email content. Keen to learn more about email anatomy? This video examines the 7 body parts of a standard email. Don’t pass on it.

7 Email Body Parts

Every Email is made of 7 things. These are:
  • From Name.

  • From Email.

  • Subject Line.

  • Infotaining Foreplay: There should always be some sort of foreplay before you pitch. This would help you transition into the offer easily.

  • Pitch: This is the actual description of the offer.

  • CTA Link: The ‘Go Here’ link.

  • Footer: Any details; contact, bonus or P.S. Statement you’ll like to add to your emails.

Email walk-in closet - 7 Costumes to dress your Email Body

These are some of the costumes that beautify your email content:
  • 1

Talk Radio: When you dispense ideas or opinions about things. In doing this, you bring up a hot topic, offer an opinion on the topic, link to an aspect of your product and make a call to action.

  • 2

Blind Man: To apply this, you’ll pick a topic your customers find confusing or annoying, imply that there’s a solution and that they are not being told the whole story and then link to a sales letter or a presell material that reveals the information. This is basically a clickbait.

  • 3

Triple “H”s: This email is made up of 3 H’s – Here’s what I’ve got, Here’s what it’s going to do for you, Here’s why you should act now.

  • 4

Story: The way to use this is to launch into a story, explain the lesson, segway into the offer and make a call to action.
